Polio medicine will be given in Mewat and Gurgaon today

A review meeting of the District Task Force was organized by Deputy Commissioner Pankaj on Friday in connection with the Pulse Polio Campaign, which would run from September 15 to 17. He instructed the officials of the Health Department that during this campaign, a child between 0 to 5 years old should not be discharged from polio medicine.

Nodal officer of the district task force, Dr. Sanjeev Tanwar said that during the campaign, a target has been set to give polio medicine to 2 lakh 95 thousand 232 children between 0 to 5 years of age. Under this campaign 1 lakh 81 thousand 768 houses of the district will be covered. 1103 booths have been set up across the district to dispense medicine. In addition 39 transit teams, 57 mobile teams have been formed. 248 supervisors have been appointed during the campaign. In this way, a total of 4936 employees, including Health Department, Anganwadi will be deployed in the campaign, he said that the campaign will be regularly inspected. Polio medicine will be given at booths on September 15 and from house to house on September 16 and 17. At the same time, in Gurgaon, arrangements have been made to provide polio medicine to children. ADC Vivek Padma Singh, SDM Pradeep Ahlawat etc. officers were present on the occasion.

Jagran Correspondent, Mewat: Special Pulse Polio campaign in the district has started today. This campaign will run till 24 November. In this, polio medicine will be given to 2 lakh 83 thousand 737 children up to five years. For this, 964 booths and 1144 teams have been formed in the district, including 39 transist teams and 57 mobile teams.

In this regard, Civil Surgeon Dr. BK Rajaura informed that along with the teams, the health department's doctors, staff nurses, ANM, Anganwadi workers and helpers, Asha and others will also be supported in this campaign. Under this campaign, on November 22, five-year-old children will be given medicine at all booths. On the second and third day, children will be fed with a dose of polio from door to door. He informed that duty of 256 supervisors has also been imposed in this campaign lasting for three days. The civil surgeon said that under this program, it was specially emphasized that no child from zero to five years of age should be deprived of drinking a dose of polio. The campaign specifically identified brick kilns, bus stands, construction sites and various settlements, which would be given special attention. To make this program a success, polio vaccine has been made available in large quantities at all health institutions in the district. The Civil Surgeon has directed the women and child development department, social organizations and people of the society to cooperate fully in making this special pulse polio campaign 100 percent successful.
